A day trip to Arran in September 2005 changed our lives when we stepped off the ferry and fell in love with the island.

Six weeks later we returned to the island to buy a piece of land in Lamlash, overlooking the pier and Holy Island, and, within three years, our purpose built bed and breakfast was completed. We opened for business early in 2009, and have been welcoming guests from all over the world since then. We hope you love it here as much as we do.

We want to provide you with everything that makes a great bed and breakfast, including a warm welcome, great food and comfortable beds!

So, whether you want to roam the island with your dog; go out to dine; play golf on one of the most scenic courses around or just kick back with a mug of tea and the Sunday papers, we think you'll find what you're looking for here on Arran. We are part of the Arran Fairtrade Community.

If you've already visited Arran, you'll know it's a great place to spend some time.
Lamlash, just 3 miles from Brodick and the ferry to Ardrossan, has everything you would expect from a Scottish village: pubs, restaurants, cafes, a stunning golf course, shops and, of course, great views.

Stonewater House Bed and Breakfast is located at the end of the pier, with its views across to Holy Island, and just a short walk from the yacht club.

Stonewater House Bed and Breakfast is a new build, situated in the quiet town of Lamlash on the Isle of Arran, completed at the end of 2008 combining a modern house with a warm welcome. We sit opposite the pier in Lamlash, so you can enjoy your breakfast looking out towards the sea.

We have 2 double bedrooms and a twin room available for guests, all rooms are en-suite and have hot drink making facilities.

Ample parking for guests and a storeroom for your sports equipment are both available.

Arran is home to a wonderful variety of people and enterprises.

Below are just a few quotes from our own guest book, but please also take a look at our reviews on Trip Advisor.

"Our walkers often ask us to make sure we book the very best B&B’s along the Arran Coastal Path trail on their behalf. When this happens, we make sure to enquire with Mark & Rachel at Stonewater House B&B to check availability. We do this because previous walkers of ours have told us that this is a wonderful place to stay. For this reason alone, I am happy to recommend Stonewater House B&B on the Isle of Arran."
